Looking for a program in which students can create an original product that unites elements of literature and history? Participants in our session will examine examples of Story Mapping Lit Trips fifth graders created while reading historical fiction about the American Revolution. Come and see how fifth grade students used free ARCGIS online accounts to create engaging story maps documenting cause and effect, and character development in their historical fiction novel. They also examined the influence of geography on the American Revolution, and embedded relevant primary sources. Participants in this session will also learn the basics of creating their own story map! Students in grades four through 12 can use ARCGIS to create compelling original content.
