Participants in this session will explore a shift in the Digital Citizenship mindset -- from the traditional list of dos and don’ts when teaching online safety to strategies for students to become informed and empowered in their digital communities. Instructors will review ways to reach out to student leaders and students groups and discuss how to implement resources from Kristen Mattson’s Digital Citizenship In Action, Google’s Applied Digital Skills Curriculum, and more. Let’s empower students to take action and be leaders in their digital communities!
